Watch out for phishing scams

25 June 2008

Online banking can be terrific or a terror depending on how safely you use online banking facilities. Whether you want to do online bill payments or just plain transactions, be sure you are using the correct site before entering your online banking details.

Phishing scams pose as the site you intended to access, waiting for you to enter your details so that you may send them to an unauthorised third party. Any differences between the real site and the fake one will be subtle, so you will need to look for errors in the address bar as well as any other suspicious activity such as unusual pop up ads.

Please browse our site to read more about phishing scams, safe Internet banking as well as other facets of online banking.
